Warming

Kiko and Milla, the Denver Reds enjoyed a nicely heated block of cement to heat their bones. As the weather warmed, so warmed the pack toward Kiko. Three Basenjis were different from one or two. Woo Hoo!

New life everywhere. Too many plant names to remember without some practice. Spring was a test to see if memory still served. Fifteen years of planting came up as the sun came up off the southern horizon. These were the days for which we waited all winter. It was the best show in town.

Heat Wave

Heat wave hit fifty, melted the remaining snow, turned the yard into a grassy racetrack for the pack. Spring fever has the pack in its pocket. Run here, run there, jump, bite, stir something up, anything. Kiko's first real spring. Pretty different, you bet.

Shank of Spring

Always helpful Basenji. Kiko was amazed at the way things kept changing. He assumed it was provided for his amusement by Dawn and Gary who knew everything. Basenjis had the power to impart a sense of being smarter than one actually was. It had made them popular for millennia. On the other hand, they refused to be told anything. It was a trade-off.
