Red Vet Roof

Kiko, Bosco, and Milla never stopped moving, filling the passenger seat of the V-dub with unaccustomed hustle and bustle on the way to the vet, and on the way back home. They were very busy little people, and there was no explaining why things kept coming and going they way they were past the windows. They were all well, and pronounced "very mellow" by the vet. The house had a new red roof and brand-new "Leaf Guard" gutters. Stuff was happening.

Rejuvenation

Bleeding hearts had regenerated themselves from the stumps left by the hail. Tiger eye sumac had not begun to leaf out 3 weeks ago, and was fluorishing. The hostas, even the ferns, were coming back. People lost a limb, and it was gone. Plants lost a limb, and they grew back two. What a system!

Roof Arms

The roof was shot, there was damage to the air conditioner, the brand-new covered gutters, and some other stuff. Bosco, Milla, and Kiko came through unscathed. While the roof needed replacement, it was still on the house. Misfortune was the seasoning that gave boredom flavor. Insurance and good health cured a multitude of problems.

Cleaning Up

Kintu's monument marked his ashes buried under the bench he loved, under Kintu's bench. Things passed. Things happened. Some things did not make it. Many plants were damaged, but an equal number survived. Kintu's time came when he was happy in a yard he loved, living with people who loved him. It was tricky typing through tears.
