Septemberish
The air had a chill in the morning. For those who were tired of hot weather, relief was on the way. The gardens were overgrown, and rodents of one sort or another teased the dogs with promises of excitement and raw meat. It was Minnesota, where cold weather got so cold they promoted it as a healthy element of life. Basenjis had begun to shiver as they sprouted a heavier coat. Soon the geese would pack up and head south. Otherwise, things were swell.
